Summary

The social, economic and cultural evolution of the women in this century were exceptional, as well as the incorporation of habits and exposition to unhealthy factors mainly related to men environment. In this case, we lament the increase of smoking in women. The smoking specific effects in women health were recently described and showed worse dangerous action in women than in men. Without hesitation, we can affirm that cigarette smoking is responsible for the increase of atherosclerotic disease in women before menopause and in the incidence of lung cancer which lethality is greater in women.
