Summary

Vulvovaginitis are sexually transmited diseases and have to be considered with attention. The ethiologycal diagnosis has to be correct. Treatment consistis of general measures equal for all vulvovaginites and especific treatment. Tricomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis are treated with imidazole derivatives (tinidazole, secnidazole and metronidazole) by oral ingestion in single dose or during seven days associated or not with local treatment. Bacterial vaginosis can be also treated with tianfenicol or clindamicin. Vaginal candidiasis is usually treated with clotrimazole, itraconazole or fluconazole (oral ingestion), and can be associated with local treatment. Recurrent vulvovaginitis need special attention.
