Summary

One hundred and two adolescents had been interviewed, in the age of 10 the 19 years interned in work of childbirth in the Obstetric Department of the Hospital Santa Marcelina, in the period of April 15th and May 31 th of 1999. One hundred and eight adolescents (71%) met in the age of 17 the 19 years and 44 (29%) patient ones in the age between 10 and 16 years. Of the group between 10 and 16 years, 6 patients were secundigestas, and of the group of the 17 to the 19 years, 27 were secundigestas and 8 tercigestas. The index of caesarium was of 23%. The menarca occurred in average to the 12 years and the first sexual relashionship between 15 and 16 years. The complications had been related, being the most common mother’s anemia and the urinary tract infection.
