Summary

The aim of this study was to provide information about the main soft tissue oral lesions found in children; to help health professionals on adequate treatment recommendation and to distinguish these lesions from others potentially malignant pathologies. A review of the literature was performed in MEDLINE database, limiting the search to the last 15 years. The type of selected publication included randomized and not randomized clinical trials, epidemiological studies, cases reports, literature review and books. Based on the selected articles, the authors presente the etiology, clinical aspects, symptomatology and possible treatments for the main soft tissue lesions found in children.
